Available in 11 unique base finish colors to complement your existing decor, the Butler's Block also includes two bronze towel hooks and a slatted maple shelf for storage. The Butlers Block features a 5-inch thick Northern Hard Rock Maple butcher block top with end-grain construction. The butcher block top is treated with the standard Boos block cream with beeswax finish. The Boos block cream penetrates deeply into the grains of the wood, leaving a silky wax barrier to lock moisture in, and allows your board to be used as a cutting surface. True to its origins, the end-grain checkerboard pattern further enhances the Butlers Block's traditional appeal. Pictured with the solid caviar black finish.

Some of the steps they take to accomplish their “green” status include manufacturing wood products that emit far less carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, methane and other gases than processing non-wood substitutes; using only formaldehyde free and low emission formaldehyde gluing processes in manufacturing our butcher blocks; and having active recycling programs in place with 95% of all raw materials, scrap, and even their sawdust recycled as fuel to heat their kilns. Boos’ sawdust is also recycled as livestock bedding for their local agricultural needs.
