The Cucina Grande is a modern twist on the classic butcher block work station. It will function well as a kitchen island in any home, or as a commercial kitchen work table. Square stainless steel legs support a 2.25-inch thick solid maple top with an easy-to-maintain Varnique semi-gloss finish. Underneath the work surface you will find a dovetailed maple drawer with a stainless steel front for storing smaller kitchen utensils. There is also a food service-grade stainless steel shelf for storage of pots, pans, or other bulky kitchen appliances.
There are several features that can be added to your Cucina Grande butcher block work station. If you require additional storage, a pot rack can be added using the drop down menu above. The pot rack will stand 48" above the wooden surface, for a total work table height of 83". This addition comes with 15 pot hooks to be used for pots, pans, and utensils. For a kitchen that is always moving, you may also add 5" caster wheels to your order. These wheels make rearranging your kitchen island easy, and will lock securely once the proper location of your island is established. For even more work space, there is an 8 inch optional drop leaf available. No matter how you prefer to customize your order, the Cucina Grande is a beautiful piece that will make your time in the kitchen more organized and enjoyable.

Please note: The Cucina Grande Work Table comes with a Varnique semi-gloss finish that seals and protects the wood. The Varnique finish gives the piece a fine furniture look and eases maintenance, but is not meant to be cut upon directly. If you require a cutting surface, we recommend these options:
1) You can purchase a separate butcher block cutting board to use atop the surface of this work table. We have many butcher block cutting boards to choose from. Click here to see our collection.
2) You can sand off the Varnique semi-gloss finish from the top of the work table (while leaving it on the sides) using a piece of fine steel wool. (Please consult a finish carpenter if you have questions about how this is best done.) If you choose to sand off the surface of your work table, you will need to then oil the surface and maintain it as you would an oil finish butcher block.

Boos' sawdust is also recycled as livestock bedding for their local agricultural needs.
