This gorgeous kitchen island table features a butcher block top constructed of 1.5-inch thick edge-grain Northern Hard Rock Maple. The solid maple top is treated with the standard Boos Block Cream Finish with Beeswax, to seal and protect the wood. The Boos block cream penetrates deeply into the grains of the wood, leaving a silky wax barrier to lock moisture in, and allows your board to be used as a cutting surface. This finish can be maintained with John Boos Mystery Oil or Boos Board Cream. A convenient drop-leaf extension adds eight inches of work space whenever you need it and tucks neatly away when not in use. The base is rubbed with a warm cherry stain and features a handy utility drawer that provides plenty of room to store your favorite utensils and gadgets. The legs feature finely routed details and adjustable glides on the tips.
