Why spend money on installing a kitchen island when all you need is a simple butcher block? Kitchen islands are great if you need a lot of room to prepare larger meals, but if you're looking for a smaller chopping block, check out our handsome walnut chopping block table. At 36 inches high, it's built like a traditional butcher block with a four inch butcher block top made from premium walnut. Beautiful dark chocolate patterns accent the top while a wicker basket hangs underneath for storing your chopping block needs. It's finished with the Boos Block Cream Finish with Beeswax that allows the block to be used as a cutting area. It can be maintained with John Boos & Company's Beeswax Board Cream or Mystery Oil. The finest materials are used in the making of John Boos products, and these pieces can be seen being used on The Food Network by professionals. This walnut butcher block table is available in three different sizes. The 48"L walnut work table comes with three wicker baskets, the 36"L version comes with two baskets, and the 25"L is available with one wicker basket. Allow 10-30 days to build this made-to-order butcher block.

John Boos & Co is firmly committed to managing environmental matters as an integral part of their business practice. Some of the steps they take to accomplish their "green" status include manufacturing wood products that emit far less carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, methane and other gases than processing non-wood substitutes; using only formaldehyde free and low emission formaldehyde gluing processes in manufacturing our butcher blocks; and having active recycling programs in place with 95% of all raw materials, scrap, and even their sawdust recycled as fuel to heat their kilns. Boos' sawdust is also recycled as livestock bedding for their local agricultural needs.
