Reversible Butcher Block

The Reversible Butcher Block is made from 6-inch thick Northern Hard Rock Maple with durable end-grain construction. The end-grain work surface is easy on knives. During cutting or chopping, the end-grain wood fibers absorb the impact of the knife blade. This keeps knives sharper longer and prevents knicks and gouges on the butcher block surface which therefore stays looking newer longer. The stylish end-grain checkerboard pattern also adds a touch of whimsy and gives the butcher block the traditional classic look that is so sought after by style-minded chefs. The Reversible Butcher Block surface features the standard Boos Block Cream Finish with Beeswax, to seal and protect the wood. The Boos block cream penetrates deeply into the grains of the wood, leaving a silky wax barrier to lock moisture in, and allows your board to be used as a cutting surface.
