The Super Kitchen Island with Drop Leaf provides additional storage and workspace to kitchens large and small. The wide work surface offers ample prep room and expands by 8 inches when the drop leaf is up. The roomy drawer (designed to look like two drawers) runs nearly the full width of the island. One side of the island features a knife rack that holds blades up to 10 inches long while the other side features a handy towel bar, which doubles as a handle. Cabinet doors below open to a large center compartment with an adjustable middle shelf and two side compartments. (The smaller compartments' shelves can be removed for easy storage of baking sheets and pizza pans.) The Super Kitchen Island rolls easily on four heavy-duty caster wheels, two of which lock so you can keep the Island securely in place when positioned.
The Super Kitchen Island with Drop Leaf is made in the U.S.A. of self-replenishing domestic hardwood and hardwood material that is sealed and protected with a durable, food-safe oil finish. The hardware has a brushed nickel finish.
Environmentally-conscious techniques employed in manufacturing the Super Kitchen Island with Drop Leaf waste as little wood as possible. Manufacturing byproducts—chiefly sawdust and shavings—are converted into wood pellets that are burned to heat homes.
