The Town House Table is featured with the standard Boos Block Cream Finish with Beeswax, to seal and protect the wood. The Boos block cream penetrates deeply into the grains of the wood, leaving a silky wax barrier to lock moisture in, and allows your board to be used as a cutting surface. This finish can be maintained with John Boos Mystery Oil or Boos Board Cream.

Some of the steps they take to accomplish their "green" status include manufacturing wood products that emit far less carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, methane and other gases than processing non-wood substitutes; using only formaldehyde free and low emission formaldehyde gluing processes in manufacturing our butcher blocks; and having active recycling programs in place with 95% of all raw materials, scrap, and even their sawdust recycled as fuel to heat their kilns. Boos' sawdust is also recycled as livestock bedding for their local agricultural needs.
