The Wine Island

The Wine Island is an elegantly designed kitchen island that is a favorite of wine lovers. A large drawer runs nearly the full width of the Island, and glides in and out on sturdy supports. The drawer is an ideal place to store corkscrews, coasters, napkins, and other kitchen tools. An open shelf below the drawer lets you keep frequently used items within easy reach. The raised panel cabinet door at the bottom left opens to an enclosed space tall enough for storing aperitif, sherry and port bottles. The cross-rack at the bottom right is designed to hold 12 bottles of wine, and can be removed if need be to open up extra storage space. The Wine Island rolls easily on caster wheels that lock so you can position the Island securely where you want it.

The Wine Island’s top, drawer, internal braces and legs are built from hardwood. Its sides and back are made of carefully matched warp-resistant hardwood veneer. All surfaces are finished with a protective clear lacquer that accentuates the warm beauty of the wood. The drawer and door handles have a classic pewter finish.

The Wine Island is made in the U.S.A. of self-replenishing domestic natural hardwood and hardwood products. Environmentally-conscious techniques employed in its manufacture waste as little wood as possible. Manufacturing byproducts—chiefly sawdust and shavings—are converted into wood pellets that are burned to heat homes.
